We Help Clients Throughout Central and Southern Mississippi

Priorities for the allocation of resources are:

  1. Support for Families;
  2. Preserving the Home;
  3. Maintaining Economic Stability, and
  4. Safety, Stability & Health. 

This includes cases or matters in the areas of Consumer, Education, Housing, Employment, Family, Juvenile, Health, Income Maintenance, Individual Rights, and Miscellaneous areas of law.

MCLSC recognizes populations with special vulnerabilities, such as age, disability, differences in language, cultural and educational backgrounds, or other special problems of access as target groups deserving special consideration.  MCLSC does not accept any cases or matters prohibited by the Legal Services Corporation Act, such as Redistricting, Abortion Rights, Representation of Prisoners, Criminal Cases, Fee Generating Cases.

Mississippi Center for Legal Services Corporation (MCLSC) is funded in part by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC). Consistent with LSC’s requirements as outlined in 45 CFR Part 1610, MCLSC may not use the funds for any purpose prohibited by the LSC Act or for any activity prohibited by or inconsistent with Section 504, unless specifically authorized by Section 1610.4, 1610.6, or 1610.7.
